HPHPDRE

Legal

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 8, 2026

Draft — this policy is being finalized and is pending legal review. It reflects how HPDRE intends to operate today.

This policy explains what HPDRE collects, why, and the choices you have. HPDRE is a private, invite-only community; we try to collect only what the community needs to work and to keep good people in it.

What we collect

  • Account & profile — your name, email, password (stored hashed), and the profile you build: bio, clubs, home track, cars and vehicle builds, and whether you’re willing to lend a hand.
  • Vouch lineage — who invited you and who you invite. This forms the trust web and your position in it is visible to other members.
  • Media — photos you upload, which are screened for safety before they’re published.
  • Location — the city/region you provide (and its approximate coordinates) to power the directory, maps, and “near me.”
  • Technical — sessions and cookies to keep you signed in, and basic security signals such as IP address for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.

How we use it

We use your information to run the directory and trust web, to authenticate you, to moderate content and keep the community safe, to send you the emails you’d expect (invites, sign-in links, password resets, and notifications you’ve opted into), and to improve the site. We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see what

Your profile and vouch lineage are visible to signed-in members — HPDRE is not a public directory. Private notes and dossiers are gated and are not shown on your public profile. Only media that passes moderation is displayed. HPDRE itself remains behind an invite wall; the site is not indexed for the general public.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to operate: hosting and our database (for the app and your content), image storage (for media), and an email provider (Resend) to deliver transactional email. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments, and only as needed to run HPDRE.

Retention and your choices

We keep your information while your account is active. You can edit your profile at any time and close your account from your settings; when you do, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or integrity reasons (for example, preserving the shape of the trust web). You may contact us to request access to or deletion of your data.

Children

HPDRE is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as HPDRE grows. When we make material changes we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify members. Your use of HPDRE is also governed by our Terms of Service.
